The purpose of the construction of this fort is to safeguard the city from invaders. However, the fort faced many wars. The construction has been made following the Indo-European architectural style. It is linked with many attractive structures within. It is stated to be more than 700 feet high.
To the side of the fort, you can find the Tadigate. It is nothing but an entry point with a temple. This temple is devoted to the idol of the Jaipur Monarchs. The fort also houses another temple. This temple is dedicated to Rathore Prince Nahar Singh Bhomia.
