Located close to Chennai airport, Pleasant Stay Guest House is a lovely option for travelers. The owner, Mr George is a very pleasant person and knows how to take care of guests. The guest house looks beautiful from the exteriors and I felt positive on stepping into the premises. Mr George stood at the gate, waiting for me to arrive. I was later ushered into the hall which was adorned by plush couches. I was offered water and later directed to my room on the 2nd floor above.

I reached Pleasant Stay Guest House at 11 pm. There was no option for me to have dinner as all the restaurants had shut. But, George offered me to toast some breads and presented a simple meal with orange juice! He offered it complementary and didn’t overcharge like most the hotels do! I was indeed touched by the gesture.

The room was basic, but had a comfortable bed and airy windows. I switched on the TV placed in corner and slowly drifted to sleep as the sun was racing towards the horizon, from other side of globe, to reappear the morning.

All in all, staying at Pleasant Stay Guest house was a lovely experience. I didn’t have an accommodation finalized when I landed in Chennai. I searched it on Tripadvisor and found Pleasant Stay guest house. I called the owner and what followed next left me happy.
If you are visiting Chennai, I would surely recommend staying at Pleasant stay guest house. The homely feeling attached with this homestay will definitely leave you rejuvenated and relaxed.
The price of this homestay is great value for money. One room night is available for approximately Rs 2,500.
