The Terraces, Kanatal is that dreamy stay which would create an unforgettable memory. Perched on a hillock, The Terraces in Kanatal gives you a lovely vantage point to revel in the beauty of Himalayas. Beautiful garden curated tastefully exudes the true beauty of this dreamy resort. Myriad flowers blossomed in their full magnificence and left us marveling at them.
Kanatal in Uttarakhand is a lesser known destination which is yet hidden away from the tourist grid. I visited Kanatal in beginning months of winter. By the month of December, a lovely blanket of snow covers The Terraces in Kanatal and leaves you cheerful. However, in case of heavy snowfall, the resort remains shut due to logistical issues. You can confirm with the staff at The Terraces before booking your winter getaway.
In the garden, there is a cosy hut setup where guests can savor delectable pakoras with tea. We spent good amount of time, with our arms wrapped around our elbows, trying to stay warm as the cold wind left our faces numb. We sat around the bonfire set up by The Terraces staff and reveled in the joy of staying far from hustle bustle of a tourist destination.

Amenities at The Terraces Resort
The Terraces resort also has a recreation room which offers you a variety of indoor games to play. We spent some leisure time here, playing billiards, table tennis and chess. The amenities here had already impressed us when the owner showed us the Spa room. Aesthetically done, the Spa room exuded impressive charm and had a lovely view to marvel at while relaxing. The aroma of the room was splendid and we were left enchanted by the facility.
The rooms here are impressively spacious and the balcony offers great views of the valley. Each room has a heater which allows you to get cosy in the cold ambiance. King size beds define luxury and the interiors make you feel heavenly! My room can be defined no less than an epitome of luxury and comfort. They also have an artistic bar with discotheque where you can tap your feet at the tune of some good music.

The best thing about The Terraces resort was not the amenities though. It was the range of experiences which they had curated for us. We were taken for a forest safari where some of us spotted leopard. We got an opportunity to savor delectable local cuisine at one of the homestays they have partnered with. We were also taken on a trek traversing through Pine trees and mesmerizing landscapes! Kanatal does not have a lot of sightseeing options. But, due to the curated experiences crafted by staff at The Terraces, our 3 days spent here were absolutely lovely!
